The Department of Biotechnology and Life Sciences relies, for its teaching activities, on university spaces and services. For activities, including teaching, related to scientific research, it has, in addition to common laboratories, experimental facilities and laboratories tailored to the specific needs of the various Research Groups (RG).

Each RG uses its facilities to develop research projects and activities related to the discipline(s) that define it, including projects by thesis students and PhD candidates.
To ensure effective and economical use of the facilities, while respecting individual expertise, the department's laboratory resources are available cross-functionally to the various RGs, as are the university’s major equipment.

Teaching Facilities

The Department can use the classrooms located in the various University buildings, according to University regulations. The main sites used are the Morselli Pavilion in Varese and Molini Marzoli in Busto Arsizio.
