Pursuant to the Statute of the University of Insubria in force since 16 April 2012:
- The University Evaluation Committee consists of nine members, including:
a. five members external to the University and two internal members, selected from scholars and experts with high professional qualifications, including two experts in evaluation matters, also from outside academia;
b. two students elected to represent the two campuses.

- The members of the Evaluation Committee are identified by the Academic Senate and appointed by the Rector, and may be reappointed only once consecutively. The Chair is selected from among the University’s tenured professors.
- The University ensures that the Evaluation Committee has operational autonomy and full access to the data and information necessary for the fulfilment of its mandate, as well as the publication and dissemination of its acts, in compliance with legislation on the protection of confidentiality.
- Each year, the Evaluation Committee submits a report on the evaluations carried out to the Rector, the Academic Senate and the Board of Directors, and, at the request of the academic authorities, provides non-binding opinions.
The members are appointed by the Rector and serve a three-year term, with the possibility of a single renewal. Members are identified as representatives of the Departments and are supported by the administrative staff member responsible at University level for coordinating the Quality Teaching Managers (MDQ) and by the staff member responsible for activities related to the Quality Assurance (QA) system.
The term of office of the University Evaluation Committee runs for three years, from 2025 to 2028
