Board of Directors

The Board of Directors, pursuant to Article 23 of the University Statute, performs the following functions:

  1. approves the Regulations for administration, finance and accounting, and other Regulations; the resolution on the Regulations for administration, finance and accounting must be adopted by an absolute majority of the members;
  2. appoints the Director General, upon the proposal of the Rector, after consulting the Academic Senate;
  3. based on the criteria set out in Article 5, paragraph 2, upon the recommendation of the Rector and after consulting the Academic Senate, approves the University's single annual budget, the University's single operating budget, the consolidated budget with its companies/entities and the annual and three-year building plan;
  4. approves the annual and three-year staff recruitment plan, taking into account the priorities and criteria expressed by the Academic Senate;
  5. decides on agreements, contracts and expenses relating to teaching, research and service facilities, within the scope of its competence;
  6. decides, after obtaining the mandatory opinion of the Academic Senate, on the activation, modification and deactivation of study programmes and the relocation of teaching and research facilities connected with one of the two campuses;
  7. decides on the establishment, modification and deactivation of the facilities referred to in Articles 34-53 and of the service, research, special and inter-university centres, subject to the opinion of the Academic Senate;
  8. in line with development programmes, decides on the annual and three-year building plan for the allocation of space;
  9. approves proposals from the Department for the appointment, transfer and assignment of tenured professors and researchers;
  10. applies, without student representation, disciplinary sanctions or orders the dismissal of disciplinary proceedings, on the binding opinion of the Disciplinary Board, in relation to university professors and researchers;
  11. decides on student fees, after consulting the Academic Senate;
  12. decides on the amount of remuneration due to staff who perform institutional functions or assume specific responsibilities and to members of the Board of Auditors and the Evaluation Unit;
  13. decides, in the absence of the interested parties, on the amount of the allowance due to the Rector and the Vice-Rector;
  14. exercises any other decision-making function in accordance with the law, the Statute and the Regulations.

Alle sedute del Consiglio di Amministrazione partecipa il Direttore generale, senza diritto di voto.

Il Consiglio di Amministrazione svolge le funzioni di cui all'art. 23 dello Statuto di Ateneo.
