The department’s postgraduate programme is a natural progression from the undergraduate course, enabling students to build on and deepen the knowledge they have acquired.
The PhD programme is a research training programme lasting at least three academic years, designed to equip students with the skills required to carry out high-level research; it also represents an essential step towards pursuing a professional career in academia.
The PhD programme in "Law and Humanities" belongs to DiSUIT. It aims to provide doctoral students with research methods and cultural support to combine complementary knowledge in the humanities. This follows an interdisciplinary perspective viewed as a dialogue between neighboring disciplines that keep their individuality but mutually enrich each other through interaction.
DiSUIT faculty members also teach in the PhD programme in Chemical and Environmental Sciences (Department of Science and High Technology – DiSAT). They are also present in the PhD programme in Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Medical Humanities (Department of Medicine and Surgery – DMC), and in the PhD programme in Computer science and the mathematics of computation (Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences – DiSTA).
DiSUIT is involved in the implementation of:
- PhD programme in Law and Humanities
- PhD programme in Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Medical Humanities
- PhD programme in Chemical and Environmental Sciences
- PhD programme in Computer science and the mathematics of computation
