We are publishing the press release issued by the City of Como on the event series “Making Peace with the World: Amid the Radical Complexity of Reality”.
The initiative is part of the University’s cultural activities and is organised with the support of Deputy Rector Umberto Piarulli and Professors Antonio Angelucci and Grazia Mannozzi (Department of Law, Economics and Cultures) and Matteo Clerici (Department of Science and High Technology).
The event series “Making Peace with the World: Amid the Radical Complexity of Reality”, promoted by the City of Como and the University of Insubria in collaboration with the Il Paguro Cultural Association, will begin on 16 October.
The series will feature six free public lectures, running until 20 November, focusing on major schools of contemporary thought and the theme of peace, explored through its various cultural, social and historical dimensions.
The initiative stems from an awareness of the relevance and urgency of this topic and aims to provide the community with an opportunity for in-depth reflection on the value and meaning of peace, understood not merely as the absence of war.
Admission is free. All events will take place at the University of Insubria, Via Sant’Abbondio 12, Como.
Welcome and registration will begin at 5:00 pm, with each lecture starting at 5:30 pm.
