First Day of the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures – Person and Rights

The Department of Law, Economics and Cultures is pleased to announce that, as part of its strategic plan, on 4 October 2023 it organised the first Day of the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures (DiDEC), entitled “Person and Rights”.

On this occasion, the exhibition “Medicine and the Shoah” will be inaugurated. It will be hosted in the Cloister of Sant’Abbondio until 30 October.

The morning session will be devoted to a round table, which will provide the introductory framework and essential reflection needed to understand the reasons behind the exhibition and to accompany its inauguration. The afternoon session, instead, will be dedicated to a discussion on the theme of the Day, “Person and Rights”, with the participation of various speakers from within and outside the Department, in a spirit of openness to the local area.

During the morning, in addition to institutional speeches by authorities and representatives of UCEI, AME and the local area, the following speakers will take part, moderated by Prof. Antonio Angelucci: Prof. Luigina Guasti, Director of the Department of Medicine and Surgery in Varese; Dr Gadi Luzzatto Voghera of CDEC; Professors Silvia Marinozzi and Lidia Ottolenghi of Sapienza University; and Prof. Michele Saporiti of DiDEC.

The Day, coordinated by Professors Antonio Angelucci and Michele Saporiti, is sponsored by UCEI, AME and CDEC, and forms part of the strategic objectives of the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures.
