Degree programmes

The academic programme offers a single-cycle Master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and five three-year Bachelor’s degree programmes in the healthcare sector.

Our programmes provide the biomedical, healthcare and clinical knowledge, together with the multidisciplinary approach, required for the promotion of health, the prevention of disease and the management of medical conditions.

Enrolment is generally open from 1 August to 30 November each year. For further information, please visit:

Postgraduate programs

A natural progression from the degree programme in Medicine and Surgery is to enrol in a postgraduate specialisation programme, which is particularly suited to those wishing to pursue a career in clinical practice, or a PhD programme for those interested in research or an academic career.

The Department offers a wide range of postgraduate programmes, including numerous postgraduate specialisation courses in the medical field—some of which are also open to non-medical graduates—a PhD programme and a number of Master’s degrees.

A PhD is a research training programme lasting at least three academic years, designed to equip students with the skills required to undertake high-level research; it is also an essential step towards pursuing a professional career in academia.

The PhD programmes currently offered by the DMC are:

Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Medical Humanities

And:

University Master’s degrees enable students to deepen their knowledge in specific scientific fields following completion of their undergraduate degree. They are also open to anyone wishing to enrol for cultural reasons, lifelong learning or professional development. Master’s programmes are offered throughout the year and may be one-year or two-year courses.
