Immagine The Department of Medicine and Surgery (DMC) is the lead department for the single-cycle Master’s degree programme in Medicine and Surgery and for five three-year undergraduate degree programmes in the medical field, in coordination with the School of Medicine.The wide range of postgraduate schools affiliated with the DMC, supported by the postgraduate office, PhD programmes, and Level I Master’s programmes (also open to graduates of three-year degree programmes), as well as Level II Master’s programmes, offers a broad spectrum of postgraduate opportunities.Teaching for the degree programmes and postgraduate schools takes place at the facilities of the ASST Sette Laghi, the ASST Lariana, the IRCCS Maugeri, Busto Hospital, the Bassani Pavilion and the Montegeneroso Biomedical Research Centre.The Department has established collaboration agreements for training, clinical and care activities with numerous public and private institutions, as well as with the Medical Associations of Varese and Como. Accreditation with the Lombardy Region for participation in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of healthcare has been renewed for the period 2024–2029.
