After graduation

The department’s postgraduate programme is a natural progression from the undergraduate course, enabling students to build on and deepen the knowledge they have acquired.

The PhD programme is a research training programme lasting at least three academic years, designed to equip students with the skills required to carry out high-level research; it also represents an essential step towards pursuing a professional career in academia.

Some lecturers from the humanities section of DiSUIT are members of the Doctoral College in ‘Law and Humanities’. This programme, affiliated with the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures –  DiDEC, aims to provide doctoral students with research methods and cultural support that enable them to combine complementary knowledge in the humanities within an interdisciplinary perspective, understood as a dialogue between neighbouring disciplines which, taken individually, retain their distinctiveness but which, through their interaction, enrich one another.

DiSUIT lecturers are also involved in the PhD programme in Chemical and Environmental Sciences, affiliated with the Departments of Science and Advanced Technology – DiSAT and Theoretical and Applied Sciences – DiSTA, and in the PhD programme in Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Medical Humanities of the Department of Medicine and Surgery – DMC.
