UNI-FIND is the portal that offers a comprehensive overview of research areas, scientific outputs, and the expertise of those conducting research within the University of Insubria.
It is a tool that enables the sharing of research objectives and methods, facilitating collaboration among researchers as well as the dissemination and enhancement of publications.
It also represents an effective channel through which the business sector can identify expertise and curricula and obtain information about courses, teaching activities, and facilities within the University of Insubria.
The identification of research areas in UNI-FIND is based on the use of free-text terms and standard classification systems. The portal collects information on:
- people (scientific curriculum and organisational affiliation)
- activities (project name and type, research structure, year)
- research areas (ERC, ATECO, ISI/CRUI sectors)
- results achieved (publications, patents)
- appointments and awards
- public engagement activities.
UNI-FIND is a very useful tool for discovering who within the University is dedicating their research to a particular topic.
It can be used by both internal staff and users external to the academic community.

Most of the information available on UNI-FIND is derived from data recorded in the IRInSubria system by researchers, academic staff, and/or the relevant University services.
