Students may request recognition of language certifications they have obtained by submitting an application in accordance with the terms and conditions set out by their degree programme and the University.
In order to determine the level of language skills, an English language proficiency test (Placement Test) will be administered during the first semester of the first year of the programme.
Exceptions are the degree programmes in Dentistry and Preventive and Adapted Motor Sciences.
With the exception of degree programmes that include a Scientific English course (see next paragraph), students who present B1 level or higher certificates may obtain recognition of their English language exam.
The following degree courses require a scientific English exam.
- Medicine and Surgery
- Medical Radiology, Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques
- Dental Hygiene
- Physiotherapy
A placement test is required for these courses.
Certifications of type B1 or higher exempt students from taking the placement test, with the exception of the Medicine and Surgery course, for which a B2 or higher certification is required.
Submission of the certificate allows for recognition of the grammar part of the exam and exempts students from taking the exercises.
For these courses, English language certificates must be sent to the School of Medicine Service via the InfoStudenti service.
