On Thursday 26 November, the University of Insubria will host the Erasmus Day for Traineeships, an event dedicated to internship opportunities abroad offered through the Erasmus+ programme and the presentation of the new call for applications. The event will give students the opportunity to learn about international mobility, application procedures and the experiences of those who have already taken part.
The Erasmus+ Traineeship programme allows university students enrolled in any cycle of study to undertake an internship lasting a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months at institutions and organisations in European countries participating in the programme. During their stay, participants can access the facilities provided by the host organisation and, upon their return, receive official recognition of the activities carried out, in accordance with the Learning Agreement 1st part.
In addition to enriching students' educational experience, international mobility also offers significant professional benefits. As highlighted in the 2024 AlmaLaurea Report, participation in Erasmus+ increases the likelihood of finding suitable employment one year after graduation.
The new Erasmus+ Traineeship call for applications will be published on 17 November 2026, with an application deadline of 1 March 2027. Applications must be submitted exclusively online.
Speakers at the event will include Barbara Pozzo, Rector's Delegate for Internationalisation, and Luca Gallo, Head of the Internationalisation Service, alongside Erasmus academic coordinators and students who will share their experiences abroad. Staff from the International Mobility Office will also explain the application procedures and provide practical guidance on how to apply.
The event will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be made available after the event on the official Erasmus+ Traineeship page.
- Please note: This event and the call for applications concern Erasmus+ traineeships only. Students interested in study mobility or double degree programmes will need to wait until January 2027, when the relevant calls for applications are scheduled to be published.
