Teaching calendar

The Academic Senate and the Board of Directors approve the teaching calendar on an annual basis. This general reference document sets out the start, end and suspension dates of teaching activities.

Students are also required to consult and check the detailed teaching calendar and the timetable of classes of their own Degree Program, that can be consulted starting from the webpage of each course.

On the occasion of official holidays or University set closures, all University offices and facilities remain closed. You are therefore advised to check the calendar on the dedicated page.

From 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026

Start of supported learning activities

15 September 2026 – all degree programs
1 September 2026 – first year of the Degree Programs in Medicine and Surgery and in School of Dentistry

The start date of taught teaching activities is set by each individual Degree Programme. To find out the start date of classes for your programme, please consult the academic calendar and class timetables.

End of supported learning activities

13 June 2026

Course examinations

The single examination session usually begins on 1 December and ends on 31 March of the following academic year.

For each course, in compliance with the minimum interval of 15 days between two consecutive examination dates for the same course/module or integrated course, and taking into account teaching periods and holidays, the following must be scheduled at least:

6 ordinary examination dates
5 ordinary examination dates for degree programmes belonging to the Department of Economics, with the exception of first-cycle degree programmes for which the student has opted for part-time enrolment

Degree examinations

The single session ends on 31 March of the following academic year. For each degree programme, at least four graduation sessions must be scheduled in the following periods:

from May to July;
from October to December;
from February to March.

Summer holidays

1–31 August 2026 inclusive – all degree programmes
1–24 August 2026 inclusive – first year of the Degree Programmes in Medicine and Surgery and in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics

Patron Saint’s Day

Friday 8 May 2026 – Varese campuses
Wednesday 24 June 2026 – Busto Arsizio campuses
Monday 31 August 2026 – Como campuses
