Enrolment is permitted for the following categories of students, provided they hold the relevant qualifications required for access:
a. university students enrolled at foreign universities;
b. individuals not enrolled in any other degree programmes at any Italian university, with a limit of four course units per academic year;
c. graduates who need to attend courses and pass examinations in subjects not included in the study plans followed to obtain their degree, but which, under current regulations, are required for admission to master’s degree programmes, public competitions, or access to postgraduate specialisation schools.
In the cases referred to in points a) and c), there is no limit on the number of course units. Applications submitted by students referred to in points b) and c) are assessed by the relevant teaching structures, taking into account the content and organisation of the selected courses.
Applications for enrolment in individual course units belonging to degree programmes with restricted access must be assessed in advance by the competent teaching structures.
Please note:
- In any case, it is not possible to enrol in individual modules that form part of integrated or grouped teaching activities.
- Enrolment in individual course units belonging to restricted-access degree programmes of the School of Medicine is not permitted.
- Enrolment in a single course unit is valid only for the relevant academic year; therefore, the related examination must be taken by 31 March of the academic year following the year of enrolment. Otherwise, the student’s career will be closed ex officio.
- University credits obtained through enrolment in single courses and the successful completion of the related examinations may be recognised if the student subsequently enrols in a degree programme at the University.
- Students already enrolled, for the same academic year, in a degree programme leading to an academic qualification at this or another university may not enrol in single courses.
- Enrolment in single courses is not permitted during a period of interruption or suspension of studies, including at another university.
- Students enrolled in single courses who intend to enrol in a bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at this University must pass the relevant examinations before completing enrolment and/or proceeding with the closure of their career.
- Enrolment in individual course units delivered within restricted-access degree programmes is permitted, within the limits of the remaining number of places with respect to the maximum capacity established for the degree programme.
Limitations on credit recognition: any recognition by the competent teaching structure of the University of credits acquired through enrolment in single course units for the purpose of shortening a degree programme may not exceed 60 ECTS credits.
EU citizens residing anywhere and non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy who wish to attend one or more single courses or internships may enrol by submitting their university record book or other documentation issued by the foreign university, duly translated and legalised, within the deadlines established by the University.
Non-EU citizens residing abroad who wish to attend one or more single courses may enrol by submitting an application to the Italian diplomatic missions.
