Let’s Talk | Pre-university guidance counselling service

Let’s Talk is the University of Insubria’s counselling service for pre-university guidance, aimed at prospective students who are considering starting a university degree programme and feel the need for individual support.

A personalised session with a counsellor can help prospective students gain clarity and make more informed decisions about their educational and professional goals, particularly in situations involving:

• anxiety or stress related to the responsibility of making a choice;
• difficulty making a decision or choosing one study path over another;
• uncertainty about which university programme to choose and which profession to pursue in the future.

The service offers a one-shot consultation, consisting of a single individual session with a professional counsellor, designed to provide immediate and effective support in making decisions about university studies.

The service does not provide general information about the University’s degree programmes or information on tuition fees, study plans, deadlines and administrative services.

How to access the service

To request a counselling session, please send an email to counselling.ateneo@uninsubria.it, stating your first name, surname and the reason for your request.

How the counselling session works

The service is provided by three experienced professionals. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes and can take place either in person or online.

At the beginning of the session, the student will be asked to complete a questionnaire.

In-person sessions are available at the following locations:

• Varese: Collegio C. Cattaneo, Via J.H. Dunant 7;
• Como: Chiostro di Sant’Abbondio, Via Sant’Abbondio 12;
• Busto Arsizio: Polo didattico di Molini Marzoli, Via Alberto da Giussano 12.

The counsellor will inform the student of the room number when confirming the appointment.
