International students resident abroad (visa applicants) are hereby informed that, starting from this year, pre-enrolment and preliminary assessment will be carried out online. It will be necessary to access the UNIVERSITALY portal.
Therefore, also those who had previously submitted an application for preliminary assessment and admission for the 2021/2022 academic year directly to the University will be required to access and submit their application through the UNIVERSITALY portal. For further information and deadlines, please refer to the following sections.

Students who have not been ranked in a useful position in the ranking lists with respect to the places reserved for them in nationally restricted-access degree programmes may submit an application for reassignment to an open-access degree programme or to a locally restricted-access degree programme, using the specific form (see the attachments section of this page).
Applications for reassignment, addressed to the Rector of the University of Insubria and drawn up using the attached form, may be submitted exclusively from 5 October 2021 to 13 October 2021 by 12.00 noon, through one of the following channels:
Applications for reassignment submitted using methods other than those indicated above will not be accepted.
Requirements for submitting an application for reassignment
Applicants who have been deemed eligible for enrolment at other universities, but have not been ranked in a useful position with respect to the places reserved for them, together with certification of having passed the admission tests taken at the university of their originally chosen institution, may submit an application for reassignment to the University of Insubria for an open-access degree programme or a locally restricted-access degree programme. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the passport with an entry visa for Italy, certification of eligibility for the Italian language test, and certification of the score obtained in the admission examination.
In this case, applications must also be submitted by the candidates to the Rector of the University where the admission examination was taken.

Acceptance of applications for reassignment
- Applications for reassignment to restricted-access degree programmes will be accepted in order of the score obtained in the admission tests taken at the universities where the pre-enrolment application was submitted.
- The ranking lists of reassignment applications and the enrolment deadlines will be published by 12 October 2021 on this webpage.
Please note: applicants will not receive any personal communication. Therefore, they are required to check this webpage for any reassignment and for the peremptory enrolment deadlines.
Medicine and Surgery (Italian-taught)

The admitted candidate must:
- Complete the online registration on the University portal through the Student Registry Web Services;
- Follow the procedure for candidates interested in enrolling at the University of Insubria who took the admission test at another university, i.e. apply under the option “competition held at another university”;
- Complete the online pre-enrolment procedure via the “Student Registry Web Services” by selecting, after logging in, the option “Enrolment” and choosing the enrolment application type “Standard enrolment”;
- Enter the required information and upload a passport-style photograph and an identity document (front and back, in order to clearly show all identifying details);
- Print the PagoPA payment notice for payment of the enrolment fee;
- Pay the enrolment fee by the specified deadline using the PagoPA payment notice (at the counters of all banking institutions).
from 13 October 2021 and no later than 18 October 2021.
