Bike Insubria is the bike-sharing service of the University of Insubria. The service is designed to promote sustainable urban mobility within the university community, supporting short-distance travel in the cities where the University is located, encouraging the use of non-polluting vehicles and discouraging the use of private transport.

Who it is intended for

Il servizio è riservato a studenti, docenti e personale tecnico-amministrativo dell’Ateneo ed è realizzato con il contributo della Fondazione Cariplo.

Access conditions

Users wishing to use the “Bike Insubria” service, in compliance with the relevant Regulations and to obtain information on the opening hours of the individual locations, may contact the staff at the designated reception desks directly.

Bicycles may be collected every day during the reception desks’ opening hours (information available at the individual desks) and must be returned 30 minutes before closing time. 
Bicycles must be returned to the same location from which they were collected.

Upon first use of the service, users must provide a photocopy of a valid identity document (photocopying is not available at the reception desks).

The bicycles, which are available free of charge, are located in Como and Varese at the following sites:
