The student fee consists of two components: the enrolment fee and the single contribution.

The enrolment fee, for both new students and students renewing their enrolment, consists of a fixed amount and a variable amount based on the student's ISEE value.

It comprises two items:

  • regional tax, initially set at €130.00 for all students and subsequently adjusted according to the band determined by their ISEE value;
  • stamp duty of €16.00

total: €146.00

The final regional tax amount is divided into three bands based on the eligibility requirements for the DSU scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year, as set out below:

  1. first band: €130.00, applicable to students with an ISEE value of €26,887.93 or less and international students from the countries listed in flat-tax Table 1 referred to in Article 3 of the Regulations;
  2. second band: €160.00, applicable to students with an ISEE value between €26,887.94 and €53,755.88 and international students from the countries listed in flat-tax Table 2 referred to in Article 3 of the Regulations;
  3. third band: €190.00, applicable to students with an ISEE value of €53,755.89 or more, students who do not submit an ISEE certificate at the time of enrolment, and international students from the countries listed in flat-tax Table 3 referred to in Article 3 of the Regulations.

Any balance due for the regional tax (in addition to the €130 paid as part of the enrolment fee) will be charged together with the tuition contribution after the student submits their ISEE certificate.  The ISEE bands are determined according to the attached table.

Payment of the €146.00 enrolment fee is required to complete the initial enrolment procedure and must be made by 30 September 2026.

Payment of the enrolment fee is essential to complete enrolment and must be made

  • for open-admission programmes by 30 September 2026;
  • for programmes with limited places by the deadlines specified in the relevant calls for applications.

For payments made after 30 September 2026, students must pay the following late payment charges:

  • €50.00 within 30 days after 30 September 2026
  • € 100.00 more than 30 days after 30 September 2026

For further information, please contact the INFOSTUDENTI service.

Iscrizione fuori corso finale

(Please note that international students are also always required to pay the enrolment fee – see the paragraph above)

  • Students with foreign citizenship whose households earn income and hold assets abroad are not required to obtain an ISEE certificate for university benefits pursuant to Article 8 of Prime Ministerial Decree No. 159/13. For these students, the tuition contribution is a fixed amount (known as a flat rate), as set out below, based on their country of origin and the subject-area coefficient of the degree programme on which they will enrol or intend to enrol;
  • The flat rate is assigned at initial enrolment and remains unchanged throughout the degree programme, provided that the student retains regular student status. If the student subsequently enrols beyond the standard course duration, the flat rate will be subject to the same percentage increases applied to ordinary tuition contributions for students classified as non-regular;
  • For the purpose of determining the flat rate, foreign countries are divided into three groups with similar characteristics; see Tables 1, 2 and 3, “List of foreign countries for flat-rate allocation”, at the end of the attached 2026/2027 Regulations. The particularly poor and developing countries identified in Ministerial Decree No. 156 of 12 February 2021 are included in Table 1;
  • For students with Italian citizenship who reside abroad and whose households earn income and hold assets abroad, the fixed tuition contribution will be determined by their foreign country of residence;
  • For students registered with AIRE who meet the requirements for “independent student” status or whose households earn income and hold assets abroad, the flat rate will be determined by their foreign country of residence;
  • Students who have been granted political refugee status must obtain an ISEE certificate only if they have income or assets in Italy. Otherwise, no documentation will be required to assess their financial circumstances, and their university tuition contribution will be set at the minimum amount;
  • Students whose households reside in Italy and whose income is earned abroad (known as cross-border workers) must submit an ISEE certificate for university benefits, providing documentation from their employer certifying the amount of income received.

Flat-rate amount by country of origin

Countries in Table 1             €200.00

Countries in Table 2             €700.00

Countries in Table 3          €3,300.00

Each amount will then be adjusted using the correction coefficient K for the subject area of the student's degree programme, as shown below:

Correction coefficients by degree programme subject area

Degree programme area  A  Correction coefficient (K)  1.2

Degree programme area  B  Correction coefficient (K)  1.1

Degree programme area  C  Correction coefficient (K)  1
