The Focus Lavoro – Days for Your Future series was launched in 2021 to provide university and upper secondary school students with tools, information and personal accounts to help them navigate their career paths and plan for the future.
The project forms part of the approach set out in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan with regard to career guidance:
“Career guidance unfolds, on the one hand, as an educational process of building the future, of life design, aimed at the younger generations, and, on the other, as career counselling and reflective dialogue.” (Guichard, 2022)
Each day combines informative content, to understand what pathways and opportunities exist, with experiential sessions involving local professionals and organisations, who, by sharing their experiences, enable participants to reflect on the necessary skills, the talents to be developed and how to get involved.
The sessions will take place online, via Microsoft Teams. A few days before each event, participants will receive a link to join the session at the email address provided during registration.
The event is open to graduates, students at the University of Insubria, as well as upper secondary school pupils who wish to learn more about the world of work and the opportunities awaiting them after they complete their A-levels or degree.
All students taking part in the three-day Focus Lavoro event will be awarded an Open Badge, a verifiable digital certificate recognising their commitment and the skills acquired upon completion of the entire programme. Open Badges are digital badges containing metadata that indicate the issuing body, the participant and the training content; they can be shared on professional profiles, in CVs or on social media (an internationally recognised standard).
