Saturday, November 14, will mark the second edition of IN-Med – Inspirational Medicine, a free congress conceived and organized by a group of medical students from the University of Insubria, with the support of the University. The event will take place at the Monte Generoso Pavilion in Varese.

Following the success of its first edition, IN-Med returns with new speakers, an even broader range of hands-on workshops, and numerous opportunities for learning and professional exchange, aiming to offer students an experience that goes beyond the traditional scientific congress.

“The Congress That Inspires the Doctors of Tomorrow” is the guiding theme of the initiative, which is built around three core values: Unity, Inspiration, and Education. The event provides an opportunity to explore the many dimensions of the medical profession, broaden students’ perspectives, and support their personal, professional, and human development.

The program will feature talks by doctors and experts from a wide range of medical fields, including medicine in extreme environments, disaster medicine, experiences with international humanitarian organizations, and medicine in elite sports. These presentations will offer practical insights and inspirational messages designed to spark curiosity and introduce students to lesser-known career opportunities.

A significant part of the program will be dedicated to practical, interactive workshops, tailored to participants’ year of study. These activities will allow students to gain hands-on experience with surgical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures, covering disciplines ranging from surgery, anesthesiology, and internal medicine to cardiac surgery, interventional radiology, ophthalmology, and pathology.

The congress will also provide networking opportunities and moments for discussion and exchange with professionals and organizations working across various areas of medicine.

The main innovation of the second edition is that it will be open to medical students from all universities, with the ambition of creating a meeting point for future colleagues from different academic institutions, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the sharing of interests and aspirations.

The initiative is supported by the University of Insubria, with Professor Matteo Tozzi, President of the Single-Cycle Master's Degree Program in Medicine and Surgery, serving as the project's academic coordinator.

IN-Med 2026 will take place on Saturday, November 14, at the Monte Generoso Pavilion in Varese, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Participation is free, but registration is required.
