Equal pay and pay transparency, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges that the new regulatory framework presents for businesses and workers in the Varese area. This is the theme of the event scheduled for Tuesday 13 October at Villa Recalcati, in the Council Chamber at Piazza Libertà 1 in Varese, from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The event will bring together representatives of institutions, trade unions, business associations, the corporate sector and the University of Insubria to take stock of equal pay and pay transparency in light of Decree 96/2026 and the transposition of the European directive.

Following participant registration, scheduled for 2 pm, and the institutional greetings, Anna Danesi, Equality Councillor of the University of Insubria, will open the proceedings at 2.30 pm. At 3 pm, the focus will shift to the regulatory framework with a contribution from Lilli Casano, Associate Professor of Labour Law at the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria, who will discuss the developments following the transposition of the European directive.
