Publishing date: 23 September 2026 Immagine notizia Immagine Paragrafo The University of Insubria delivered an impressive performance at the 24th edition of the National Mini Dragon Boat Challenge, organised by Anciu (National Association of Italian University Clubs) in Pisa on 19 September.The joint crew representing the University and the Arcadia Association distinguished itself over four exciting races, securing an excellent sixth place overall out of 17 participating crews and confirming its position as the leading university team in Lombardy.The crew took to the water led by stroke paddlers Martina Bellandi and Marzia Gariboldi, with Melania Bilardo on the drum and Guido Cimoli at the helm. The team also included Michela Lauriello, Fabio Ibatici, Vito Cannone, Francesca Colombo, Luciana Jacona, Antonella Villacaro and Paola Campomenosi, together with coach Mauro Mazzoccato and guest paddlers Fabio Cozzi and Mauro Dalla Piazza.The event also once again highlighted its strong spirit of community and social engagement, concluding with the traditional Convivium organised by the University of Pisa: a convivial occasion for cultural and gastronomic exchange, featuring typical specialities from the participants’ respective regions.Dragon Boat is one of the activities promoted by the University of Insubria and Cus Insubria for students and the entire academic community, as well as for members of the wider public.
