Publishing date: 21 September 2026 Immagine notizia Immagine Paragrafo From Monday 28 September, the first floor of the Science Centre in Via Valleggio, Como, will be completely inaccessible due to the start of building works affecting the entire floor of the building.For the duration of the works, it will therefore not be possible to access the reading rooms of the Como Science Library, the study room and the computer room located on the first floor. However, the computer rooms on level -1 will remain open as usual.The works are expected to last approximately eight weeks, with completion and handover of the spaces scheduled for around Monday 23 November.Library services will be suspended only on Friday 25 September, to allow for the temporary reorganisation of the spaces. From Monday 28 September, a new Library Service Point will be operational in office V0.1 on the ground floor, open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 6 pm, without a lunch break.The Service Point will provide book loans, inter-library services, and bibliographic assistance and advice. Books held in the areas temporarily closed to the public may be reserved and subsequently collected on the ground floor.The self-service multifunction machine for photocopying and printing will, however, be moved to the entrance hall, near the reception desk.Inside the Campus, dedicated signage will also be put in place, with clear directions to Office V0.1 on the ground floor, where the Service Point for loans and other library services will be temporarily located.All updates and operational guidelines will be published on the Como Science Library page: http://www.uninsubria.it/biblioscienze The University apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks students and the university community for their cooperation.
