Presentation of the operational protocol for managing cases of gender-based violence in schools: students and institutions meet at Insubria

On Wednesday 23 September, from 10 am to 12.30 pm, the University of Insubria will host the presentation of the «Operational protocol for managing cases of gender-based violence in schools» in the Main Hall at Via Ravasi 2 in Varese. The event will provide an opportunity for dialogue between institutions, universities and schools on the prevention and management of gender-based violence, with the direct involvement of students.

The event will open with institutional greetings from the Prefect of Varese, Salvatore Rosario Pasquariello; the Head of the Varese Provincial Education Office, Giuseppe Carcano; Paola Biavaschi, the Rector’s Delegate for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities at the University of Insubria; Eliana Alessandra Minelli, the Rector’s Delegate for Next Generation and Inclusion at LIUC – Università Cattaneo; and representatives of BCC Busto Garolfo e Buguggiate, General Manager Roberto Solbiati and President Roberto Scazzosi.

Students will play a central role in the initiative, beginning with a contribution from students of ITC Einaudi in Varese, focusing on their role in prevention.

This will be followed by a presentation of the prevention project by Maria Rosaria Maggio, and of the operational protocol by Silvia Nanni and Lelia Mazzotta Natale.

The event will conclude with contributions from students of Liceo Frattini in Varese, representing the schools belonging to the provincial network «Questo non è amore» («This is not love»), together with Alessandra Frattini, Mariagiovanna Micali and Silvia Bottazzini.
