Artificial intelligence as a strategic driver for business innovation, to be understood not only from a technological perspective but also in terms of its organisational, economic, regulatory and security implications. This is the aim of the new advanced training course “AI: Technologies, Cybersecurity and Leadership”, organised by the Department of Human Sciences and Innovation for the Territory at the University of Insubria, in collaboration with Digitiamo srl.

The programme is aimed at technical professionals, specialists and managers and is designed to provide the skills needed to address the transformations brought about by AI in a strategic, informed and secure way, fostering innovation and strengthening organisational competitiveness.

The course adopts a multidisciplinary approach, combining theoretical insights, case studies, practical simulations and interactive workshops. Topics include generative artificial intelligence, Large Language Models, intelligent agents and the use of APIs, together with the economic and project-management aspects involved in developing AI-driven transformation projects.

Particular attention will also be devoted to governance and regulatory issues, the strategic and operational management of innovation, and cybersecurity, with a specific focus on AI security and the European NIS2 Directive.

The course is structured into three main modules, awards 15 university credits (CFU) and is directed by Davide Tosi, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Insubria and Rector’s Delegate for Artificial Intelligence, whose research and teaching activities focus on AI, Data Science and Cybersecurity.

Applicants are required to hold an upper secondary school diploma. It is also possible to attend individual teaching units, up to a maximum of two.

Classes will be held from December 2026 to March 2027, in a blended format, both online and in person. Enrolment is open until 12 noon on 16 November 2026.
