Insubria Hosts Presentation of the “Subsidiarity and… Health” Report by the Subsidiarity Foundation with Minister Giorgetti and MP Gadda

The University of Insubria will host the presentation of the “Subsidiarity and… Health. Universalism and Sustainability of the National Health Service” report, promoted by the Subsidiarity Foundation. The event will take place on Monday, September 21, at 10 a.m. in the Aula Magna at Via Ravasi 2, Varese.

Founded in 2002, the Subsidiarity Foundation conducts studies, research and initiatives on social, economic and institutional issues, with a particular focus on the principle of subsidiarity and the relationship between individuals, society and institutions. The 2025/2026 Report focuses on the state of the National Health Service and the conditions needed to ensure its universality, equity and sustainability.

The event in Varese will provide an opportunity to explore the main challenges currently facing the Italian healthcare system, including sustainability, service organisation, access to care and the need to strengthen the support provided to individuals.

Speakers will include Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti; Maria Chiara Gadda, Vice-President of the Agriculture Committee and member of the Parliamentary Intergroup for Subsidiarity; Maria Pierro, Rector of the University of Insubria; Giorgio Vittadini, President of the Subsidiarity Foundation; Carlo Nicora, Director General of the Fondazione Molina; and Sergio Segato, Director of the Department of Digestive Diseases, Nutrition and Metabolism at the Macchi Hospital in Varese.

The event is held under the patronage of the University of Insubria and the Municipality of Varese and is organised in collaboration with Unioncamere. Admission is free, subject to registration: Form.
