Francesca Redaelli and Camilla Cigolini are the winners of the third edition of the «Best Thesis Award 2024–2025», organised by the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Insubria.

The award ceremony took place on Friday, 12 June, in the gardens of Villa Manara in Busto Arsizio, at the end of the Open Day for prospective students.

Francesca Redaelli received the award for a thesis in the field of oncology, while Camilla Cigolini was honoured for her research in neuroscience.

The award, dedicated to the best theses of the 2024/2025 academic year, recognises the scientific rigour, originality and relevance of the graduates’ research projects. It also reflects the high quality of the education provided by the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences.

The day began in Lecture Hall A at Molini Marzoli with a presentation of the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences by Tiziana Rubino, the Rector’s Delegate for the Busto Arsizio Campus.

The event gave participants the opportunity to learn more about the programme’s curriculum and research activities, as well as laboratory work, internships and international mobility opportunities. It also provided an overview of career prospects in biomedical research and industry.

The event concluded with an informal aperitif designed to encourage direct interaction among participants, current students, faculty members and alumni of the programme.
