Advisory Committee of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Physics

Representatives from the Professional Sector

Representatives from the professional world collaborate in the design of the degree programs (CdS) offered by the Department of Science and Advanced Technology (DiSAT), providing information useful for defining and updating the professional profile; they serve in an advisory capacity for the design of internships and help evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program.

The main objective of this activity is to maintain a constant balance between the supply and demand for training, by sharing the degree program’s educational plan and fostering effective collaboration with scientific and professional organizations, as well as representatives from the worlds of culture and industry—including at the international level—not only during the initial establishment of the degree program.

The degree program is supported by a Steering Committee composed of representatives from the following organizations:

  • Financial Engineering at Mediobanca (specializing in the application of statistical physics methods to the fields of finance and insurance)
  • Linnaeus University (contact for internationalization)
  • Medical Physics at S. Anna Hospital in Como (contact for the healthcare sector)
  • National Institute for Astrophysics - INAF (contact for research institutions)
  • ComoNext - Digital Innovation Hub and startup incubator (contact for the industry and technological innovation sectors)
  • Galileo Galilei High School in Erba (contact for the education sector),
  • Coherent – East Granby, Connecticut (point of contact for the international industrial sector, at the intercontinental level)
  • VF Corporation – Stabio, Switzerland (contact for the industrial sector abroad, at the continental level)

The Degree Programme representatives on the Committee are Professors Alessia Allevi, Alberto Parola, Michela Prest and the student representative Giulia Curi.
