Yes. They are students like you who have taken on the responsibility of actively participating in the life of the degree course and of bringing the students’ perspective to the forums where university life is decided and organised.
Student representatives also sit on the University’s collegiate bodies.

Every year, the University publishes a call for applications to fund cultural and recreational activities promoted by students.
In the 2024/25 academic year, the student associations recognised by the University were:
- Associazione Culturale Musicale “Sant’Abbondio” – Student Choir of the University of Insubria in Como
- SISM Italian Secretariat of Medical Students – Varese local branch
- “Tigre Bianca” Association, dedicated to Chinese culture and language
- “EnvironMental” Association, dedicated to environmental and nature-related issues
- “ESN Insubria” Association, Erasmus Student Network
- CUT – Insubria University Theatre Centre
- ASMI – Insubria Muslim Students Association
Yes! If you enjoy sport, by becoming a member of the CUS — the University Sports Centre, CUS Insubria — you can take part in amateur sports activities in various disciplines, including volleyball, athletics, five-a-side football, rowing, martial arts, fitness classes, gym training, dance and more, and rent courts at Palainsubria.
If you already practise a sport at competitive level, you can also represent the University of Insubria at the National University Championships.
In addition, CUS organises University tournaments and inter-CUS tournaments in many sports disciplines.
