To support the right to a university education, our University manages and publishes calls for applications for various scholarships intended for university students:
- Scholarships for the Right to a University Education funded by the Lombardy Region and the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MUR), which are awarded through a competitive selection process. For details on the amounts, merit requirements, and income criteria, please consult the “Call for Applications for the Award of Benefits for the Right to University Education”.
Please note: scholarship applications must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the call for applications. The deadlines are strict. - Excellence and merit scholarships reserved for students enrolled in the first year of a three-year bachelor’s degree program or a single-cycle master’s degree program funded by our University. For details on the amounts and merit requirements, consult the “Call for Applications for University Scholarships.”

Our university offers various housing options in Como, Varese, and Castellanza for students who live far away.
Housing in university dormitories (Collegio Carlo Cattaneo and Residenza Insubria City, VARESE – Collegio Santa Teresa and Collegio La Presentazione, COMO – Residenza Carlo Pomini, CASTELLANZA) are assigned through a specific call for applications (Call for Financial Aid for spots reserved under the Right to Education and University Call for the Assignment of Accommodations at University Halls of Residence).
Please note:
- Applications for the assignment of full-rate beds at the University Halls of Residence must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the call for applications for this category;
- applications for the allocation of accommodation reserved for high-achieving students at the Carlo Cattaneo College in Varese and the Santa Teresa College in Como must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the call for applications for this category;
- Applications for the allocation of accommodation at a reduced rate must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the call for applications for this category.
- All deadlines specified in the call for applications are final.
Accommodations are also available at other facilities, access to which is not managed by the University.
