On Wednesday 21 April, the Busto Arsizio campus of the University of Insubria’s Bachelor’s degree programme in Nursing, in collaboration with ASST Valle Olona, hosted an international exchange event as part of the European mobility project.
Guests at the event included Professors Ebru Kurdal and Saliha Eryilmaz from the University of Uşak, Turkey, and Professor Luis Moreno from the University of Ávila, Spain, accompanied by Professor Evgenia Karousou, the Erasmus+ coordinator at the University of Insubria.
The meeting represented an important opportunity for academic and cultural exchange. The visiting lecturers presented the educational projects and activities of their respective universities, whilst students on the Bachelor’s degree course in Nursing played an active role in welcoming the guests and sharing their own university experiences.
Second-year students demonstrated the infographics they had created for the Health Education module, whilst third-year students presented the University, the academic system and the distinctive features of the Nursing degree programme.
The visit continued through the school’s classrooms and laboratories, offering participants the opportunity to discuss different teaching models and the ways in which nursing professionals are trained in various countries.
For the students, the day proved to be a particularly valuable experience, helping to broaden their perspective on the international context of the profession and to reinforce their awareness of a future career increasingly open to European dialogue.
The initiative concluded with a social gathering, which further encouraged informal discussion between students and lecturers, confirming the value of international mobility as a tool for educational, personal and professional growth.
