Postgraduate Programme Open Day: 9–11 September – three days dedicated to clinical, surgical and medical services

From 9 to 11 September, the University of Insubria will be presenting its postgraduate programmes over three days dedicated to the specialisation schools in the fields of clinical services, surgery and medicine.

The Open Day is aimed in particular at graduates, final-year undergraduates and students on the Master’s degree programme in Medicine and Surgery who wish to find out more about the University’s specialist training programmes and gather useful information to help them choose their future specialisation.

The events will take place at the Monte Generoso Pavilion in Varese and will provide an opportunity to meet the directors and lecturers of the Schools, learn about the characteristics of the various programmes, the training and clinical activities, the organisation of the training network and the career prospects.

The programme is spread over three days:

Wednesday 9 September, from 9.00 am to 12.40 pm – Services Area
Lecture Theatre 4 MTG – Monte Generoso Pavilion

The following postgraduate programmes will be presented: Pathological Anatomy; Anaesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Management; Hygiene and Preventive Medicine; Forensic Medicine; Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry; Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology; Radiodiagnostics; Occupational Medicine; Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine; Microbiology and Virology.

The PhD programme in Life Sciences and Biotechnology will also be presented.

Thursday 10 September, from 9.00 am to 12.20 pm – Surgical Area
Lecture Theatre 9 MTG – Monte Generoso Pavilion

The following departments will be presented: General Surgery; Vascular Surgery; Gynaecology and Obstetrics; Orthopaedics and Traumatology; Thoracic Surgery; Ophthalmology; Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery; Otorhinolaryngology; Urology.

The PhD programme in Experimental and Translational Medicine will also be presented.

Friday 11 September, from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm – Medical Area
Lecture Theatre 5 MTG – Monte Generoso Pavilion

The following departments will be presented: Dermatology and Venereology; Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases; Psychiatry; Respiratory Diseases; Emergency and Critical Care Medicine; Medical Oncology; Infectious and Tropical Diseases; Internal Medicine; Haematology; Paediatrics; Geriatrics; Sports and Exercise Medicine; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

The PhD programme in Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Medical Humanities will also be presented.

Over the course of the three days, you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the programme directors and lecturers and to find out more about the various specialisation pathways.
