On Wednesday 1 July, from 4 to 7 p.m., the conference hall of Collegio Cattaneo, Via Dunant 7 in Varese, will host the event «Longevity: digital and technological solutions for residential care facilities, caregivers and local communities», organised by the TAV TechForLife Cluster in collaboration with the University of Insubria.

The event will focus on innovative technologies and services designed to support care in residential care facilities, assist caregivers, and promote the well-being and independence of older people. It will also provide an opportunity for discussion among universities, businesses, research institutions, associations and regional clusters working in the fields of health, technology and innovation.

Following the opening remarks by Chiara Tagliaferri, relationship manager at the TAV TechForLife Cluster, cluster manager Marco Sacco will present the Cluster’s activities and objectives.

Eleonora Stucchi, a psychologist specialising in neuropsychology at the TAV TechForLife Cluster, will introduce the VISTA project, which focuses on enhancing innovation and technological services for care in residential care facilities.

Representing the University of Insubria will be professors Mauro Fasano, Rector’s Delegate for Knowledge Valorisation, and Tiziana Rubino, coordinator of CRIS – Research Centre for Successful Ageing. Their contribution will explore the role of university research and knowledge transfer in promoting active and healthy ageing.

This will be followed by an overview of the European funding opportunities offered by the Regional Foundation for Biomedical Research, presented by Giulia Maria Rossignolo, Head of European Calls.

The final part of the event will be dedicated to introducing the Cluster’s new members and several organisations based in Lombardy. Speakers will include Antonella De Micheli, vice-president of Uneba Varese, Diego Manzocchi, chief executive officer of Sinapsi, Giuseppe Facchi, chief technology officer of Synx, Lorenzo Mauri, chief executive officer of Magic Vision, and Federico Lanzani, chief technology officer at the same company. Representatives of AFIL and the Lombardy Cosmetics Cluster will also attend.

  • The event will conclude with a networking aperitif.
