On Monday, 28 September, the Main Hall of the Chiostro di Sant’Abbondio in Como will host the Welcome Day for the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Programme in Law at the University of Insubria, organised by the AiQuaR Committee of the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures.The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a presentation of the degree programme, during which students will be introduced to the organisation of the curriculum, as well as the services and opportunities offered by the University.From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Pasquale Ferrara, Ambassador and Professor of Diplomacy and Negotiation at Luiss University, will deliver a keynote lecture entitled “The Rules of Dialogue. Negotiation and Diplomacy in the Age of Force”.Speakers will include Professor Giuseppe Colangelo, Director of the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures; Professor Alessandro Ferrari, Coordinator of the degree programme; Professor Giuseppe Porro, Chair of the Joint Teaching Staff-Student Committee; Professor Lucia Lopez, Erasmus Coordinator for the Como campus; Barbara Arcari from the Teaching Office; and student representatives Asia Martina Di Lorenzo and Francesco Mesiti.The Welcome Day will therefore provide an opportunity to meet lecturers, programme coordinators and student representatives, receive useful information about university life and, through the keynote lecture, explore the role of dialogue, diplomacy and negotiation in today’s international context.The morning will conclude at 1:30 p.m. with an aperitif at the University café “Le Tentazioni”, offering an informal opportunity for students and members of the academic community to meet and socialise.
