Following the summer break, the fifth edition of ‘CineScience’ continues – a series dedicated to the dialogue between cinema and popular science, and to engaging with the public – organised by the Neuroscience Research Centre at the University of Insubria, directed by Professor Lia Forti.
The next event is scheduled for Wednesday 9 September at 8.30 pm at Villa Calcaterra, in Busto Arsizio, with a screening of Julian Schnabel’s ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’. The film tells the story of a journalist who, following a serious accident, can communicate with the outside world only by blinking, but still manages to dictate and publish his story.
The introduction will be given by Dr Chiara Luoni, medical director and child neuropsychiatrist at ASST Sette Laghi.
The film series is organised in collaboration with the Busto Arsizio Municipal Library and the Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute, under the patronage of Busto Arsizio Town Council.
- Admission is free.
