On Tuesday 7 July, from 2.30 p.m., Palazzo Volpi, the historic home of the Como Civic Art Gallery, will host the final event in the “Art Tuesdays” series, organised by the PhD Programme in Law and Human Sciences and the Research Centre for the History of Contemporary Art of the Department of Human Sciences and Innovation for the Local Area, in collaboration with the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria.

The conference will conclude the fifth edition of the series, which is open to University students and the general public. The event will focus on the relationship between visual arts and new technologies, explored from an interdisciplinary perspective in terms of artistic creation, protection, access and the enhancement of cultural heritage.

Speakers will include Massimiliano Ferrario, Professor of Contemporary Art History and Director of the Research Centre for the History of Contemporary Art, and Chiara Iorio, Professor of Private Law and Civil Law at the University of Insubria. They will be joined by Varese street artist Andrea “Ravo” Mattoni for a discussion on crypto art, NFTs and generative artificial intelligence.

The event will take place in the conference room of the Como Civic Art Gallery, at 84 Via Armando Diaz, starting at 2.30 p.m. Admission is free and no booking is required, subject to seat availability.
