Publishing date: 16 March 2026 Immagine notizia Immagine Paragrafo On the occasion of Universities Unveiled 2026, the national day promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors together with the Ministry of University and Research to showcase the contribution universities make to the country’s development, the University of Insubria is taking part by presenting a new way of bringing research closer to society.It is called InsubriaCrowd, the University’s crowdfunding platform, which enables citizens, businesses and communities to directly support projects devised by lecturers and research groups.The idea is simple: a small number of projects at a time, presented clearly and accessibly, with defined objectives and the opportunity for anyone to contribute to their implementation. The campaigns will alternate over time, offering the chance to gradually discover different areas of research at Insubria and follow their development. Immagine The first two projects unveiled online – but with the opportunity to discover them first-hand by arranging a laboratory visit, for those wishing to support them – demonstrate the variety of the University’s research.“Como Solar: innovating photovoltaics in the City of Volta” studies solutions to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic panels, addressing issues such as overheating and unused solar energy.“We-DanSe – Women, Dance and Security in Urban Space” explores how the perception of safety influences women’s movements in urban space, using dance and artistic practices as tools for research and participation.With InsubriaCrowd, university research is unveiled, becoming more visible, understandable and participatory: a concrete way to build a direct link between university and society.🔗 Discover the projects on InsubriaCrowd:www.insubriacrowd.it
