The Italian Department for Sport has published a call for scholarships for university students who have achieved high-level sporting results, as defined by the Decree of the Minister for Sport and Youth of 9 June 2026, issued in agreement with the Minister of University and Research.
Eligible applicants must:
- be enrolled for the 2025/2026 academic year at an Italian state university or at a Higher Education Institution for Art, Music and Dance (AFAM);
- have an ISEEU not exceeding €40,000;
- be registered with an amateur sports association or club listed in the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities (RASD), or with a professional sports club affiliated with a sports federation or associated sports discipline recognised by CONI or CIP;
- meet the sporting requirements set out in the technical annex to the call.
A total of €9,820,978 has been allocated to the initiative. The amount of each scholarship will vary according to the student's status as a student living away from home, a commuter student or a resident student.
Applications must be submitted through the dedicated online platform. The platform is open from 12 noon on 24 September until 12 noon on 26 October 2026.
