#NonCiFermaNessuno by Luca Abete in Varese: a listening space for youth emergencies.

The social campaign #NonCiFermaNessuno by Luca Abete is coming to the University of Insubria for the fourth stop of its 12th edition. The Communication Languages Laboratory led by the correspondent of Striscia la notizia continues to engage Italian university students with a clear aim: to overcome the mindset of “benegrazismo”. “We have not been to Varese since 2017, and this return is not just another stop, but the resumption of a dialogue that starts from a specific need: to listen,” says Abete. “We do not come into the classroom with ready-made answers: we create the conditions for young people to speak, to engage with one another, and to bring out what they are really experiencing. No more ‘fine, thanks’ in response to the question ‘how are you?’. Youth emergencies cannot be addressed unless we have the courage to listen to them fully.” 

In the classroom, the testimonies of students will give life to the fourth episode of the podcast “Va tutto bene. Anzi no”. Experiences that cross borders will be given a voice through the Euro-Talks, created in collaboration with the Erasmus+ INDIRE National Agency, involving Italian and international young people who have taken part in the Erasmus programme. 

There will also be space for environmental sustainability through the installation at the University of RiVending collection containers to improve the areas around the vending machines. Inclusive gaming will also be discussed through MediaWorld’s “Gaming for Everyone” project, and the #NonCiFermaNessuno Award will be presented. To celebrate its sixth edition, the Award will culminate in the autumn with a national event bringing together students from 50 Italian universities.

Admission is free while places last. The event is scheduled for 22 April, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the University of Insubria, “Monte Generoso” Teaching Pavilion, ROOM 8 MTG.
