From 9 November, Bus Insubria will have a new stop at Via Maspero 10, making it easier to reach the Bizzozero Campus for passengers arriving in Varese by extra-urban bus at Piazzale Kennedy or by train at Varese Nord railway station, which is connected to the square by the new pedestrian underpass.

The new stop will be added to those in Corso Moro and Via Morosini, along the route of the direct bus services connecting the city centre to the University, complementing the regular service provided by urban bus route C.

The services, identifiable by the word “INSUBRIA” on the buses' destination displays, are intended for University students, staff and collaborators. They provide a direct connection to the Campus, with no further stops after Via Maspero.

Bus Insubria operates on school days, Monday to Friday. Services towards the University depart from Corso Moro, stop at Via Morosini and Via Maspero 10, and continue towards Via Monte Generoso.

Return services from the Campus to the city centre are also available, stopping in Via Maspero, near the railway and bus stations.

Passengers must hold a valid ticket or season ticket for Varese's urban bus network. To purchase an Autolinee Varesine season ticket, a personal “Io Viaggio” card is required. The card can be requested online at a cost of €10. Previously issued “Muoversi a Varese” cards remain valid until their expiry date.

For passengers travelling to Varese by train, integrated travel options are also available, including “Io Viaggio Ovunque in Provincia”, “Io Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardia” and “Io Viaggio TrenoCittà Varese” passes. These allow passengers to combine rail and urban bus travel, subject to the specific validity conditions of each pass.

Updated information on fares, tickets, travel passes and purchasing options is available on the Autolinee Varesine website.
