Extracurricular internships are aimed at unemployed persons pursuant to Article 19 of Legislative Decree 150/2015, therefore, when applying for an internship, the intern must submit the following to the Guidance and Placement Office:
- the Declaration of Immediate Availability for Work (DID)
For internships based outside the Lombardy Region (in Italy or abroad), please contact the Career Guidance and Placement Office for information on the procedure to follow.
They are aimed at individuals who are unemployed pursuant to Article 19 of Legislative Decree 150/2015, including those who have completed upper secondary and tertiary education.
They are not linked to formal university education courses, as they are primarily aimed at promoting job placement and career choices through a period of training in a productive environment and direct knowledge of the world of work.
The minimum duration for extracurricular internships is two months.
The maximum duration (including any extensions) is:
- six months for extracurricular internships whose Individual Training Plan provides for the acquisition of skills referenced to EQF levels 2 and 3, extendable up to a maximum of a further six months if, during the extension, the acquisition of skills referenced to at least EQF level 4 is envisaged;
- twelve months for extracurricular internships whose Individual Training Plan provides for the acquisition of skills referenced to EQF level 4 or above;
Administrative management is the responsibility of the University's Guidance and Placement Office.
You can evaluate an internship offer from those posted on our notice board. Only students and graduates of the University of Insubria may apply for job/internship offers:
You can also propose your own project, if you have already identified a company or organisation yourself.
The internship begins with the finalisation of an individual training project that sets out the objectives and methods agreed upon by all parties (intern, university tutor and company tutor).
During the internship, you will be required to fill in an attendance register and will be contacted by your university tutor every two weeks to monitor your progress.
At the end of the internship, you will be issued with a certificate of the skills acquired, based on the assessment expressed by the host company in your individual dossier. You will also be asked to fill in an evaluation form, the data from which will be used by the Guidance and Placement Office to monitor and evaluate the activities carried out and to continuously improve the service.
