Recognition of previous career

The assessment of your ‘previous academic career’ (i.e. credits acquired and exams taken in another degree programme at this or another university, or with the attainment of a previous degree) takes place formally only after enrolment or transfer to our University, or after internal transfer from one programme to another within this University.
However, before transferring or enrolling in a second degree programme, it is possible to request an informal assessment of your previous academic career. This is done in different ways from department to department.

This assessment is a standard practice, not an administrative procedure, and therefore does not introduce any changes to the administrative deadlines for enrolment or to the fees and contributions due, which are defined by the administrative deadlines and the regulations on fees and contributions.

Such a request may also be submitted by students who have been expelled or have withdrawn from their studies or who hold a foreign qualification for the purpose of enrolment with a shortened career.

In all cases where an informal assessment of previous academic career is requested, it is necessary to provide certification or self-certification of the exams taken and any other available documents relating to one's academic career, such as the syllabuses of exams already passed.

No preliminary assessments are carried out for degree courses belonging to the School of Medicine.

For limited enrolment courses in the medical-healthcare area, no informal assessment of previous academic career is carried out.

Those who are currently enrolled in or have previously obtained a degree and intend to enrol in a second degree programme or transfer to a limited enrolment degree programme in the medical and health sciences area must take the admission test.

Only after passing the test and achieving a sufficient ranking is it possible to enrol according to the procedures and terms set out in the competition notice and, at that stage, request recognition of previous academic career.
