Thanks to the “Education Transformation Agreement” between CRUI and Microsoft, which the University has joined, Office 365 can be provided to staff and students at no additional cost.
Office 365 includes:
- the option to install Office 365 for personal use on up to 5 devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets (including iPads), or smartphones;
- web-based online versions of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Skype, and Access;
- the ability to use 1 TB of cloud storage on OneDrive, for document storage and synchronisation across multiple devices.
Students, academic staff, and technical and administrative staff
Students, academic staff, and technical and administrative staff who already have a University email account do not need to submit any additional requests.
To access the service:
- go to the page: https://portal.office.com/account/
- enter your University email address
- you will be redirected to the page from which you can download the software you require.
When a student’s academic career ends, or when a member of staff’s legal relationship with the University ends, the entitlement to use this service also ends, including the ability to use the associated cloud storage space.
It is also possible to access this service using an identity from the Public Digital Identity System (SPID) or an Electronic Identity Card (CIE).
Important! In order to access the service correctly using this method, you must currently already have an account issued by the University.
