The University of Insubria confirms its positive results in education and graduate employment. This emerges from the 28th AlmaLaurea Report, produced by the interuniversity consortium that brings together 81 Italian universities and conducts a national survey each year on university pathways and the employment outcomes of recent graduates.

The analysis involved 2,248 graduates from the University of Insubria and highlights the University’s growing attractiveness. A total of 6.6% of graduates come from outside the region, up from 5.7% the previous year; the figure rises to 7.7% for two-year master’s graduates. The presence of international students is also increasing, accounting for 4% of graduates, particularly in master’s degree programmes.

“The data from the 2026 AlmaLaurea Report,” comments Rector Maria Pierro, “confirm the strength of the University of Insubria’s educational model. The growth in employment and the increase in international experiences testify to a university that is able to attract, train and enhance talent. It is particularly important to observe how these results translate not only into rapid entry into the labour market, but also into genuine recognition of the skills acquired during university studies. These indicators encourage us to continue with determination in strengthening the quality of teaching, student services and relations with the professional world.”

Among the strengths highlighted is the average age at graduation, which stands at 25.1 years, lower than both the Lombardy average (28.6 years) and the national average (26.3 years). The share of graduates completing their studies within the prescribed time rises from 61.9% to 64.3%, remaining above the national figure. The result for two-year master’s degrees is particularly strong, with almost eight out of ten students graduating on time (79.7%), an increase of around seven percentage points compared with the previous year. For these programmes, the average graduation mark reaches 108 out of 110.

The professional training opportunities offered to students are also strengthening. The share of graduates who completed an internship recognised by their degree programme rises from 57% to 61%, while 13.2%, an increase of 2% compared with the previous year, took part in study experiences abroad. In both cases, the University of Insubria records results above the Lombardy and national averages.

The level of satisfaction with the university experience is also high: 88.4% of graduates say they are overall satisfied with their degree path, 82% express a positive opinion of teaching, and 87.3% rate their relationship with lecturers positively.

In terms of employment, bachelor’s graduates who choose to enter the labour market show performances above both the Lombardy and national averages. One year after obtaining their bachelor’s degree, the employment rate reaches 87.7%, compared with 85% in Lombardy and 81.2% in Italy. Half of those employed started working only after graduation, while the share of part-time work stands at 12.5%, lower than the benchmark values. The average net monthly salary is 1,549 euros, and 60.4% consider the skills acquired through their degree to be adequate for the work they perform.

Insubria’s advantage is even more marked among master’s graduates. One year after graduation, the employment rate reaches 90.5%, more than five percentage points above the Lombardy figure (84.9%). In addition, 66% of those employed, around eight percentage points above the regional benchmark, say they make extensive use of the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies.

The positive results are also confirmed in the medium term. Five years after graduation, the employment rate of master’s graduates reaches 96.3%, accompanied by growing recognition of university-acquired skills and by an average salary exceeding 2,100 euros net per month.

Overall, the 2026 AlmaLaurea Report therefore confirms the University of Insubria’s ability to support students in achieving rapid and qualified entry into the labour market, through degree paths characterised by professional training support, attention to educational experiences and employment outcomes above the main regional and national benchmarks.
