The Department of Economics of the University of Insubria is relaunching its postgraduate offer with the sixth edition of the Master’s in General Management, a blended programme designed as a professional development tool for those wishing to acquire or strengthen managerial skills without interrupting their work.

The Master’s is aimed at graduates with a three-year or four-year degree, or equivalent qualifications obtained in Italy or abroad, from legal, scientific, technical or medical backgrounds and with at least one year of work experience. Admission is based on an assessment of the candidate’s CV and the contents of the application.

The programme aims to provide practical tools for working proactively in functional, divisional and general management roles, with a focus on manufacturing and service SMEs, including financial services, public organisations and consultancy firms. The course awards 60 credits: 47 dedicated to teaching activities (329 hours) and 13 for a company-based field project, to be developed at the end of the taught modules.

Key topics include: management and strategy, financial statements and non-financial disclosure, cost accounting, budgeting and reporting, corporate finance, organisation and people management, supply chain, marketing, information systems and digitalisation, company law and contract law, as well as a module on cybersecurity and privacy management

From an organisational perspective, the format is designed to help participants combine study and work: some activities take place in person on Saturdays on a monthly basis, while part of the programme is delivered through distance learning with evening modules, alongside a segment dedicated to assignments/individual activities. The overall duration is 15 months, starting in April 2026 and ending by July 2027.

Applications must be submitted online via the Student Office Web Services portal by 12 noon on 15 April
The Master’s is directed by Professors Anna Pistoni and Stefano Amelio; the faculty combines academics from the Department of Economics with experts from the professional world.
