The Urology Department of ASST Sette Laghi took part in the annual congress of the American Urological Association (AUA2026), held in Washington D.C. from 15 to 18 May, one of the most important international scientific events in the field of urology.

During the congress, the team, led by Professor Federico Dehò, a lecturer at the University of Insubria, had the opportunity to present its research projects to the international scientific community through a well-attended oral presentation, a video presentation and numerous poster sessions.

The studies presented covered topics of great clinical and scientific relevance, including prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), retroperitoneal fibrosis and andrology. Participation in AUA2026 provided an important opportunity to engage with specialists from around the world, fostering the exchange of knowledge, new research perspectives and future international collaborations.

“Attending such a prestigious scientific event is a significant recognition of the clinical and research work carried out by our team and confirms our ongoing commitment to innovation and scientific advancement,” emphasises Sara Baldini, a urology trainee at the Varese hospital.

Special thanks were extended to Adele Patrini and the Caos Foundation for their ongoing support and for making it possible to achieve these important milestones, enabling participation in such high-profile international scientific events.
