Course description

The aim of this course is to help its master’s degree graduates mastering and improving their language skills in specific fields, shaping high profile cultural and linguistic mediators.

The program provides the further study of two languages integrated by the knowledge of linguistic, juridic and economic areas concerning the two professional profiles of the translator in juridic and economic fields and the cultural mediator.

The graduates in this master’s degree course will be able to organize and perform high profile professional activities in the public and private sector as both specialistic translators and intercultural mediators in situations of hypothetical or actual conflicts (community interpreters, bargaining interpreters, family mediators…).

Some of the lessons are held in Italian, some in English.

NEW: starting from A.Y. 2025/2026, relevant innovations have been proposed, including: 

-lessons will be taught in blended modality: online lessons will be held on late afternoon/evening and Saturdays; on site lessons will be concentrated on certain days of the week and certain weeks of the semester 

-two curricula in ‘Traduzione giuridica ed economica nell'era dell'intelligenza artificiale’ and ‘Mediazione linguistica e culturale in ambito giuridico ed economico

-enhanced course offerings and broadening of optional courses

What you need to know

Unrestricted access.

The requirements for the enrolling are:

  • possessing a first cycle degree, meaning another degree obtained abroad and acknowledged as eligible, as long as it is coherent with the subject of the master’s degree;
  • having obtained at least 25 credits in both of the two languages that the student wants to keep studying,  provided in the program of the course.

The students with a number of credits below the one requested can still be accepted in the master’s degree course if they show level B2 skills (Chinese) or level C1 (English, Spanish, German) certified by Institutions or acknowledged during an acceptance interview.

If you are a EU National, you may stay in Italy for as long as you like: you only need a passport or ID card.
If you are a NON-EU National, you'll have to carry out some formalities.
