The University of Insubria presents the Master’s Open House for the 2026–2027 academic year: a schedule of meetings, seminars, workshops, and open lectures designed to help students choose their Master’s program. The University offers 16 master’s degree programs in the fields of economics, science and technology, humanities, and sports. Of these, 7 are taught entirely in English, and an equal number allow students to participate in dual-degree programs, confirming the University of Insubria’s international focus.
The Master’s Open Day events will take place from May 11 to 22 at the Varese, Como, and Busto Arsizio campuses, with various options for remote participation via Teams.
Additional orientation activities dedicated to master’s degree programs will continue in the coming months, through the summer, as part of the Beyond Open Day section. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the master’s degree programs, understand the structure of the curricula, find out about admission requirements, assess career prospects, and engage directly with faculty, students, alumni, professionals, and program representatives.
The Master’s Open Day program covers all areas of the master’s degree offerings. For the economics area, the master’s degree program in Economics, Law, and Corporate Finance offers sessions dedicated to the program’s curriculum, career opportunities, and an overview of the academic offerings, with evening sessions designed for working students. The events will feature faculty, professionals, graduates, and representatives from the business and financial sectors. For the Master’s program in Global Entrepreneurship Economics and Management, an afternoon session is scheduled for May 4 dedicated to the program’s presentation, featuring testimonials from alumni and meetings with managers and entrepreneurs.
In the science and technology area, presentations are scheduled for the master’s programs of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Sciences—Biology and Sustainability, Biotechnology for the Bio-based and Health Industry, and Biomedical Sciences—as well as events dedicated to the bachelor’s programs in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering and Workplace Sustainability, Mathematics, and Environmental Sciences. The schedule includes course presentations, research focus sessions, testimonials from current and former students, poster sessions, open lectures, and public seminars on topics such as the galactic center, quantum optics, error-correcting codes, and PageRank.
In the humanities and social sciences, the Hospitality for Sustainable Tourism Development program is hosting a meeting on May 12 in Como titled “From Campus to Career: Your Future in Tourism and Hospitality,” featuring a focus on career opportunities, a roundtable with alumni, Q&A with the audience, and networking. The course in Modern Languages for Communication and International Cooperation is organizing presentations and thematic meetings dedicated to mediation in the judicial system, local cultural storytelling, and the relationship between the 2030 Agenda, culture, and multilevel governance. For Communication Sciences and Techniques and Languages and Skills for Education, a joint presentation is scheduled for May 21 at 6:00 PM in Varese, with the option to participate remotely, followed by repeat sessions on June 8 and July 6.
For the sports sector, the master’s degree program in Preventive and Adapted Physical Activity Sciences will be presented on May 13 at Molini Marzoli in Busto Arsizio. The event will focus on the curriculum and career prospects for graduates and will also offer the opportunity to visit the new teaching clinics dedicated to adapted physical activity at the Mapal – Movement and Adapted Physical Activity Lab.
In addition to the main Open Day events, related initiatives are also planned, including seminars, informal meetings with students and faculty, open lectures, and the Summer School of Mathematics, scheduled in Como from July 20 to 24.
