This Master’s Degree will allow you to start a career as professional experts in the design and management of highly complex Information Technology (IT) systems in a wide range of companies and organizations, in addition to the ones specifically related to IT.
You can also pursue a career in research by continuing your studies with the PhD.

As a prerequisite for admission, candidates must hold a three-year Bachelor of Science degree belonging to the Italian degree class L-31 or 26 (Information sciences and technologies), or to class L-8 or 09 (Information engineering).As an alternative prerequisite, candidates must hold a foreign three-year university diploma or other qualification that can be recognized as suitable for admission, and who have obtained curricular requirements equivalent to a minimum number of Italian credits (CFUs) in specific Italian scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSDs):
The above requirements correspond to about 480 hours of courses in computer science and/or computer engineering and to about 144 hours of courses in mathematics.
Knowledge of English at at least B2 or equivalent level is also required.
If you are a NON-EU student and need a Study VISA, you will have to register and pre-enroll on Universitaly first.
All candidates must take an admission interview on fundamental topics of Computer Science with a commission composed of professors specially appointed by the Program Degree Board.Candidates who fail the interview are not allowed access to the Master’s degree program for the current academic year.

To be admitted, students must mandatorily undergo an interview to verify the adequacy of their personal preparation. The interview is intended to ascertain possession of the essential knowledge and skills specific to the degree classes under Ministerial Decree 270/04, L-31 (Computer Science and Technology) and L-8 (Information Engineering).
The interview will be conducted by a special committee composed of professors appointed by the Degree Course Council, according to procedures and timing that will be made available on the Degree Course's web pages.
A negative outcome of the interview will result in exclusion from access to the Master's degree course for the academic year in which the interview took place.
In the Academic Year 2026/2027, first-semester classes will begin on 21 September 2026, while second-semester classes will begin on 22 February 2027.

The AiQUA Committee (listed in the Annual Programme Catalogue (SUA-CdS) as the Quality Assurance Management Group) is composed of the Degree Programme Coordinator, one or more members of the academic staff of the programme, one or more student representatives, and a Quality Assurance Academic Manager. The Committee is responsible for managing the degree programme’s quality assurance processes and plays a central role in its self-assessment and periodic review activities. It supports the Degree Programme Coordinator in the preparation of the Annual Programme Catalogue (SUA-CdS) and other key documents related to the programme’s quality assurance system.
This is a committee established at Department level, composed of an equal number of faculty members and students representing the degree programmes managed by the teaching structure. It serves as a permanent internal observatory within the Department on teaching activities, focusing mainly on monitoring the degree of achievement of teaching objectives, also based on constructive dialogue with students, both to collect their feedback and to promote a culture of quality. The Annual Report of the CPDS represents a synthesis of the analytical activities carried out during the year and includes improvement proposals addressed to the degree programmes.

Representatives from the professional sector collaborate in the design of the Degree Programmes (CdS) of the DiSTA Department by providing information useful for defining and updating the professional profile. They also perform advisory functions in the planning of internships and contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the educational pathway.
