Modern neuroscience is increasingly engaged in understanding the neurobiological foundations of social behavior, or cognitive and emotional neural processes that give individuals the ability to live in the social context and interact with other known or unknown individuals. Dysfunctions of social behavior are critical symptoms of different neuropathologies, and the interaction between clinical observations and neurobiological analysis is important to design new therapeutic interventions.
In this workshop, expert scholars from Italian research institutes will discuss some recent advances in basic research on the neural mechanisms underlying functional and dysfunctional social behavior, as well as their clinical progress.
The worshop is addressed to an audience of students, PhD students and researchers in fields related to neuroscience
