The 12th April, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the University of Insubria will be present at the XXIII Infopoverty World Conference entitled "Ai disrupts digital processes: how to act to guarantee human rights and provide e-welfare for all?".
 Artificial intelligence and digital technologies are pervading international debates and daily life all over the world. The Covid-19 pandemic and the harrowing realities of ongoing wars are significantly reshaping our perspectives on the imminent future, amplifying the concerns and uncertainties, but also the many opportunities surrounding a digitally dominated world.
 The conference will therefore address the role of artificial intelligence in the fight against poverty to improve the difficult living conditions that our society still faces. The approach aims to bridge the economic, social and digital divides that pose a significant risk to global progress.
 Speakers, with a session on the progress of telemedicine thanks to the enhancement of artificial intelligence, are lecturers from the Department of Medicine and Surgery: Claudio Azzolini, Founder of the telemedicine platform Eumeda, and Simone Donati.
